12	12	A RESOLUTION to honor and congratulate Crystal Kennedy on
13	13	her selection as the 2024–2025 Cannon County
14	14	School District Supervisor of the Year.

16	16	WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to
17	17	specially recognize those outstanding professionals who have devoted their careers to providing
18	18	the highest quality education for Tennessee's students; and
19	19	WHEREAS, Crystal Kennedy is one such estimable administrator, who has
20	20	distinguished herself as a professional of the greatest dedication, ability, and integrity; and
21	21	WHEREAS, Mrs. Kennedy has been selected as the 2024–2025 Cannon County School
22	22	District Supervisor of the Year, an honor most befitting her outstanding tenure as a Career and
23	23	Technical Education (CTE) director, as it recognizes the positive influence she has on so many
24	24	young lives; and
25	25	WHEREAS, with a career at the Cannon County School District (CCSD) spanning
26	26	eighteen years, Mrs. Kennedy is an extremely talented and compassionate administrator who
27	27	works assiduously to motivate her students, teachers, and staff to reach their full potential as
28	28	scholars, professionals, and citizens; and
29	29	WHEREAS, Mrs. Kennedy began her teaching career at CCSD as a CTE teacher at
30	30	Cannon County High School (CCHS); she later assumed the director role, in which position she
31	31	piloted the CTE education initiative for students in grades six through eight and brought funding
32	32	to the district for CTE students; and
33	33	WHEREAS, during her tenure, Crystal Kennedy has been the recipient of various
34	34	awards, and she was instrumental in bringing innovative programs to CCHS, such as the HUB,
35	35	the Farm Lab, and the Cannon Paw Print Shop; and

40	40	WHEREAS, a leader in her profession and her community, Crystal Kennedy is a board
41	41	member of the Cannon County Chamber of Commerce and has expanded work-based learning
42	42	opportunities for the students of Cannon County; and
43	43	WHEREAS, Crystal Kennedy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business
44	44	Education from Middle Tennessee State University in 2007 and her master's degree in business
45	45	administration in 2010; and
46	46	WHEREAS, Mrs. Kennedy serves as an inspiration to the faculty and staff, and her
47	47	friendship and counsel are highly valued by those who are fortunate to know her; and
48	48	WHEREAS, Crystal Kennedy truly epitomizes the dedicated professional who is wholly
49	49	committed to the highest ideals of public service and quality education for all, and she should be
50	50	specially recognized; now, therefore,
51	51	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
52	52	FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
53	53	CONCURRING, that we honor and congratulate Crystal Kennedy on being chosen as the 2024–
54	54	2025 Cannon County School District Supervisor of the Year, commend her exceptional service
55	55	to the children of Tennessee, salute her professional expertise and personal excellence, and
56	56	wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
57	57	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
58	58	for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
59	59	the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
60	60	without House or Senate designation.
