<BillNo> <Sponsor> HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 526 By Hale HJR0526 006694 - 1 - A RESOLUTION to honor and congratulate Crystal Kennedy on her selection as the 2024–2025 Cannon County School District Supervisor of the Year. WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to specially recognize those outstanding professionals who have devoted their careers to providing the highest quality education for Tennessee's students; and WHEREAS, Crystal Kennedy is one such estimable administrator, who has distinguished herself as a professional of the greatest dedication, ability, and integrity; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Kennedy has been selected as the 2024–2025 Cannon County School District Supervisor of the Year, an honor most befitting her outstanding tenure as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) director, as it recognizes the positive influence she has on so many young lives; and WHEREAS, with a career at the Cannon County School District (CCSD) spanning eighteen years, Mrs. Kennedy is an extremely talented and compassionate administrator who works assiduously to motivate her students, teachers, and staff to reach their full potential as scholars, professionals, and citizens; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Kennedy began her teaching career at CCSD as a CTE teacher at Cannon County High School (CCHS); she later assumed the director role, in which position she piloted the CTE education initiative for students in grades six through eight and brought funding to the district for CTE students; and WHEREAS, during her tenure, Crystal Kennedy has been the recipient of various awards, and she was instrumental in bringing innovative programs to CCHS, such as the HUB, the Farm Lab, and the Cannon Paw Print Shop; and - 2 - 006694 WHEREAS, a leader in her profession and her community, Crystal Kennedy is a board member of the Cannon County Chamber of Commerce and has expanded work-based learning opportunities for the students of Cannon County; and WHEREAS, Crystal Kennedy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education from Middle Tennessee State University in 2007 and her master's degree in business administration in 2010; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Kennedy serves as an inspiration to the faculty and staff, and her friendship and counsel are highly valued by those who are fortunate to know her; and WHEREAS, Crystal Kennedy truly epitomizes the dedicated professional who is wholly committed to the highest ideals of public service and quality education for all, and she should be specially recognized; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE CONCURRING, that we honor and congratulate Crystal Kennedy on being chosen as the 2024– 2025 Cannon County School District Supervisor of the Year, commend her exceptional service to the children of Tennessee, salute her professional expertise and personal excellence, and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
