12	12	A RESOLUTION to commend Alexis Bartlett for exemplary service
13	13	as a legislative intern.

15	15	WHEREAS, each legislative session, this body is pleased to recognize certain persons
16	16	who have committed themselves, through their adroit service, to the betterment of the legislative
17	17	process; and
18	18	WHEREAS, Alexis Bartlett is one such individual, who has distinguished herself in her
19	19	role as a legislative intern for Representative Andrew Farmer and the House Judiciary
20	20	Committee; her work has resulted in innumerable benefits for the legislators she assisted and
21	21	the General Assembly as a whole; and
22	22	WHEREAS, Ms. Bartlett also lent her time and talents to the House Criminal Justice
23	23	Subcommittee, the House Children and Family Affairs Subcommittee, and the House Civil
24	24	Justice Subcommittee; and
25	25	WHEREAS, a student at Tennessee State University (TSU), where she is highly
26	26	regarded by her peers, Ms. Bartlett has achieved academic success while working toward a
27	27	Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government, with a minor in history and
28	28	concentration in law, and volunteering with Fish & Loaves Ministry and Girl Scouts of America;
29	29	and
30	30	WHEREAS, she is a member of the TSU Honors College, an event coordinator for the
31	31	TSU chapter of Delight Ministries, and a representative in the Tennessee Intercollegiate Student
32	32	Legislature (TISL), receiving the Carlisle Award during the 54

34	34	TISL General Assembly; and
35	35	WHEREAS, eager to familiarize herself with the characteristics and complexities of
36	36	Tennessee State government and to further her studies, Alexis Bartlett brought her many

41	41	abilities and singular expertise to Capitol Hill for the 2025 session of the One Hundred
42	42	Fourteenth General Assembly; and
43	43	WHEREAS, throughout the 2025 legislative session, Ms. Bartlett has surpassed all
44	44	criteria that define a devoted and conscientious legislative intern; and
45	45	WHEREAS, Alexis Bartlett has performed her many duties with extraordinary insight and
46	46	rare decorum; now, therefore,
47	47	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
48	48	FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
49	49	CONCURRING, that we hereby commend Alexis Bartlett for outstanding service as a legislative
50	50	intern for Representative Andrew Farmer and the House Judiciary Committee and extend to her
51	51	our best wishes for every future success.
52	52	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
53	53	for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
54	54	the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
55	55	without House or Senate designation.
