A RESOLUTION to commend Alexis Bartlett for exemplary service 
as a legislative intern. 
 
 WHEREAS, each legislative session, this body is pleased to recognize certain persons 
who have committed themselves, through their adroit service, to the betterment of the legislative 
process; and 
 WHEREAS, Alexis Bartlett is one such individual, who has distinguished herself in her 
role as a legislative intern for Representative Andrew Farmer and the House Judiciary 
Committee; her work has resulted in innumerable benefits for the legislators she assisted and 
the General Assembly as a whole; and 
 WHEREAS, Ms. Bartlett also lent her time and talents to the House Criminal Justice 
Subcommittee, the House Children and Family Affairs Subcommittee, and the House Civil 
Justice Subcommittee; and 
 WHEREAS, a student at Tennessee State University (TSU), where she is highly 
regarded by her peers, Ms. Bartlett has achieved academic success while working toward a 
Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government, with a minor in history and 
concentration in law, and volunteering with Fish & Loaves Ministry and Girl Scouts of America; 
and 
 WHEREAS, she is a member of the TSU Honors College, an event coordinator for the 
TSU chapter of Delight Ministries, and a representative in the Tennessee Intercollegiate Student 
Legislature (TISL), receiving the Carlisle Award during the 54
th
 TISL General Assembly; and 
 WHEREAS, eager to familiarize herself with the characteristics and complexities of 
Tennessee State government and to further her studies, Alexis Bartlett brought her many

abilities and singular expertise to Capitol Hill for the 2025 session of the One Hundred 
Fourteenth General Assembly; and 
 WHEREAS, throughout the 2025 legislative session, Ms. Bartlett has surpassed all 
criteria that define a devoted and conscientious legislative intern; and 
 WHEREAS, Alexis Bartlett has performed her many duties with extraordinary insight and 
rare decorum; now, therefore, 
 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED 
FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE 
CONCURRING, that we hereby commend Alexis Bartlett for outstanding service as a legislative 
intern for Representative Andrew Farmer and the House Judiciary Committee and extend to her 
our best wishes for every future success. 
 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared 
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to 
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear 
without House or Senate designation.
