<BillNo> <Sponsor> HOUSE RESOLUTION 10 By Maberry HR0010 004018 - 1 - A RESOLUTION to honor Araceli White upon receiving the Navy Club of the United States Military Excellence Award. WHEREAS, we take great pleasure in recognizing a passionate and resilient young Tennessean who has begun her career in the U.S. Navy by receiving top marks and a prestigious award; and WHEREAS, Airman Apprentice Araceli White of Clarksville recently graduated as the top Sailor from U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command (RTC), earning the Military Excellence Award; and WHEREAS, the Navy Club of the United States Military Excellence Award is the highest award presented to the recruit who best exemplifies the qualities of enthusiasm, devotion to duty, military bearing, and teamwork; and WHEREAS, Araceli White's receipt of this award places her at the pinnacle of today's newest Sailors as she embarks upon her promising career in the U.S. Navy; and WHEREAS, Ms. White enlisted in the Navy to help make her country a better place and to progress and develop as a person; and WHEREAS, at RTC, she acquired the leadership traits necessary to transform a group of individuals into a team, a key aspect of all military training; and WHEREAS, Airman Apprentice White will now attend Air Traffic Controller "A" School for training in the fundamentals of air traffic control, radar and radio communications group instruction, and simulators; and WHEREAS, a young lady of diverse talents, Araceli White is a graduate of West Creek High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, the honor choir, student - 2 - 004018 government, and the drama club; she was also an All-State soccer player and won the Miss Gladiolus Days Scholarship Pageant; and WHEREAS, we wish Araceli White all the best as she continues to serve her country with pride and proficiency; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we honor and congratulate Airman Apprentice Araceli White of Clarksville upon graduating as the top Sailor from U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command and earning the Military Excellence Award and thank her for her ongoing commitment to the United States of America. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy.
