12	12	A RESOLUTION to commend Spencer Webb for exemplary
13	13	service as a legislative intern.

15	15	WHEREAS, each legislative session, this body is pleased to recognize certain persons
16	16	who have committed themselves, through their adroit service, to the betterment of the legislative
17	17	process; and
18	18	WHEREAS, Spencer Webb is one such individual, who has distinguished himself in his
19	19	role as a legislative intern for House Democratic Caucus Chairman, Representative John Ray
20	20	Clemmons; Spencer's work has resulted in innumerable benefits for the legislators he assisted,
21	21	Chairman Clemmons, and the General Assembly as a whole; and
22	22	WHEREAS, a student at Austin Peay State University, where he is highly regarded by
23	23	his peers, Spencer Webb has achieved academic success while pursuing a bachelor's degree
24	24	in history with a minor in pre-law studies; and
25	25	WHEREAS, Spencer thrives in the classroom and has twice been named to the Austin
26	26	Peay Dean's List for his academic achievements; and
27	27	WHEREAS, after graduation, he plans to pursue a Juris Doctor degree and hopes to
28	28	someday practice law in the field of civil litigation; and
29	29	WHEREAS, a native of Bradley County and a cum laude graduate of Cleveland High
30	30	School, Spencer Webb is the eldest of three brothers; and
31	31	WHEREAS, eager to familiarize himself with the characteristics and complexities of
32	32	Tennessee State government and to further his studies, Spencer Webb brought his many
33	33	abilities and singular expertise to Capitol Hill for the 2025 session of the One Hundred
34	34	Fourteenth General Assembly; and

39	39	WHEREAS, throughout the 2025 legislative session, Spencer Webb has surpassed all
40	40	criteria that define a devoted and conscientious legislative intern; and
41	41	WHEREAS, he has performed his many duties with extraordinary insight and rare
42	42	decorum; now, therefore,
43	43	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
44	44	FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we commend
45	45	Spencer Webb for outstanding service as a legislative intern for Chairman John Ray Clemmons
46	46	and extend to him our best wishes for every future success.
47	47	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
48	48	for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy.
