<BillNo> <Sponsor> HOUSE RESOLUTION 77 By Clemmons HR0077 006924 - 1 - A RESOLUTION to commend Spencer Webb for exemplary service as a legislative intern. WHEREAS, each legislative session, this body is pleased to recognize certain persons who have committed themselves, through their adroit service, to the betterment of the legislative process; and WHEREAS, Spencer Webb is one such individual, who has distinguished himself in his role as a legislative intern for House Democratic Caucus Chairman, Representative John Ray Clemmons; Spencer's work has resulted in innumerable benefits for the legislators he assisted, Chairman Clemmons, and the General Assembly as a whole; and WHEREAS, a student at Austin Peay State University, where he is highly regarded by his peers, Spencer Webb has achieved academic success while pursuing a bachelor's degree in history with a minor in pre-law studies; and WHEREAS, Spencer thrives in the classroom and has twice been named to the Austin Peay Dean's List for his academic achievements; and WHEREAS, after graduation, he plans to pursue a Juris Doctor degree and hopes to someday practice law in the field of civil litigation; and WHEREAS, a native of Bradley County and a cum laude graduate of Cleveland High School, Spencer Webb is the eldest of three brothers; and WHEREAS, eager to familiarize himself with the characteristics and complexities of Tennessee State government and to further his studies, Spencer Webb brought his many abilities and singular expertise to Capitol Hill for the 2025 session of the One Hundred Fourteenth General Assembly; and - 2 - 006924 WHEREAS, throughout the 2025 legislative session, Spencer Webb has surpassed all criteria that define a devoted and conscientious legislative intern; and WHEREAS, he has performed his many duties with extraordinary insight and rare decorum; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we commend Spencer Webb for outstanding service as a legislative intern for Chairman John Ray Clemmons and extend to him our best wishes for every future success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy.
