A RESOLUTION to confirm the appointment of Todd Womack to
the advisory board for the University of
Tennessee at Chattanooga.
WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-9-501, establishes an advisory
board for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC); and
WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-9-501, provides that the governor
shall appoint five (5) members to the UTC advisory board; and
WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-9-501, requires that at least three
(3) members of the UTC advisory board be alumni of that institution and at least three (3)
members be residents of this state; and
WHEREAS, Governor Bill Lee has appointed Todd Womack to the advisory board for
the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for a term that expires on June 30, 2028; and
WHEREAS, Todd Womack is the president and CEO of Bridge Public Affairs, president
of Generation Property Management, and former chief of staff and staff director for U.S. Senator
Bob Corker; and
WHEREAS Mr. Womack graduated from UTC in 1995 with a degree in communication
and media studies; and
WHEREAS Mr. Womack serves his alma mater as a member of the UTC Foundation
Board of Trustees and the UTC Honors College Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-9-501, provides that each member
appointed by the governor to the advisory board for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
shall be confirmed by the general assembly; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we confirm the appointment of Todd Womack to the
advisory board for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for a term that expires on June
30, 2028.
