A RESOLUTION to confirm the appointment of Lynn Richardson 
of Elizabethton to the Tennessee Ethics 
Commission. 
 
 WHEREAS, pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 3-6-103, Governor Bill Lee 
has selected Lynn Richardson of Elizabethton as his appointee from the majority party to the 
Tennessee Ethics Commission; and  
 WHEREAS, Ms. Richardson is a highly respected journalist who has served as president 
and publisher of the Elizabethton Star, publisher of the Herald & Tribune in Jonesborough, and 
director and founder of the Newspapers in Education program for the Johnson City Press; and   
 WHEREAS, in recognition of her lengthy career in publishing, she has received 
numerous first-place awards from the Tennessee Press Association for excellence in the 
editorial, news, feature writing, and news photography categories, and she has served the 
organization as president, district director, and board member; and   
 WHEREAS, Ms. Richardson gives back to her community as a board member for the 
Elizabethton/Carter County Boys and Girls Club and the Isaiah 117 House; and   
 WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 3-6-103, requires that each 
gubernatorial appointee be confirmed by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of approval by each house of 
the General Assembly; now, therefore, 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH 
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HO USE OF 
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that this body hereby confirms the appointment of Lynn 
Richardson to the Tennessee Ethics Commission, such term to expire on December 31, 2028.
