12	12	A RESOLUTION to honor the memory of Bonnie June Raby of
13	13	Oliver Springs.

15	15	WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly were greatly saddened to learn of
16	16	the passing of Bonnie June Raby; and
17	17	WHEREAS, Mrs. Raby was an exemplary public servant and consummate professional
18	18	who worked assiduously to improve the quality of life for her fellow citizens in numerous
19	19	capacities; and
20	20	WHEREAS, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, Mrs.
21	21	Raby was a friend to everyone she encountered; she loved welcoming people into her home,
22	22	and she graciously insisted upon feeding everyone who visited her; and
23	23	WHEREAS, Mrs. Raby was an active and devout member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church,
24	24	which she served faithfully for many years, singing in the choir and volunteering in the print
25	25	shop; and
26	26	WHEREAS, deeply devoted to her family, Mrs. Raby always endeavored to remain true
27	27	to family values of the highest order; and
28	28	WHEREAS, Bonnie Raby enjoyed the loving companionship of her husband, Archie
29	29	Raby, for fifty-four years before his passing; she was the proud mother of Leota (Terry) Wallick,
30	30	Aladene (Lyle) Blythe, Malinda (Ken) Yager, and Hoyt (Donna) Raby; grandmother of Garan
31	31	Wallick, Kellen Blythe, Alison Blythe, Trevor Blythe, Bonnie-Marie Yager-Wiggan, Will Yager,
32	32	Brad Raby, Jess Raby, Archie Raby, Caleb Raby, and Hannah Raby; and great-grandmother of
33	33	Levi Wallick, Felicity Wallick, Oliver Blythe, Kayleigh Blythe, Rylee Raby, Drew Raby, Kato
34	34	Raby, Simon Raby, Emily Raby, Chasity Raby, and Kittrell Raby; and
35	35	WHEREAS, Mrs. Raby is further survived by her cousin, Marilyn Gilchrist; brother-in-law,
36	36	Gordon (Carol) Raby; sister-in-law, Jessie June Nelson; nephew and nieces, Keith Raby, Kristi
37	37	Everett, and Danita White; and several other nephews and nieces; and

42	42	WHEREAS, Bonnie Raby leaves behind an indelible legacy of integrity and probity in
43	43	public life, compassion and loyalty in private life, and diligence and dedication in all her chosen
44	44	endeavors; and
45	45	WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to
46	46	remember the bountiful life of this exceptional public servant and human being; now, therefore,
47	47	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH
48	48	GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF
49	49	REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we honor the memory of Bonnie June Raby,
50	50	reflecting fondly upon her impeccable character and her stalwart commitment to living the
51	51	examined life with courage and conviction.
52	52	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we express our sympathy and offer our condolences
53	53	to the family of Mrs. Raby.
54	54	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
55	55	for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
56	56	the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
57	57	without House or Senate designation.
