A RESOLUTION to honor the memory of Bonnie June Raby of 
Oliver Springs. 
 
 WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly were greatly saddened to learn of 
the passing of Bonnie June Raby; and 
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Raby was an exemplary public servant and consummate professional 
who worked assiduously to improve the quality of life for her fellow citizens in numerous 
capacities; and 
 WHEREAS, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, Mrs. 
Raby was a friend to everyone she encountered; she loved welcoming people into her home, 
and she graciously insisted upon feeding everyone who visited her; and  
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Raby was an active and devout member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 
which she served faithfully for many years, singing in the choir and volunteering in the print 
shop; and 
 WHEREAS, deeply devoted to her family, Mrs. Raby always endeavored to remain true 
to family values of the highest order; and 
 WHEREAS, Bonnie Raby enjoyed the loving companionship of her husband, Archie 
Raby, for fifty-four years before his passing; she was the proud mother of Leota (Terry) Wallick, 
Aladene (Lyle) Blythe, Malinda (Ken) Yager, and Hoyt (Donna) Raby; grandmother of Garan 
Wallick, Kellen Blythe, Alison Blythe, Trevor Blythe, Bonnie-Marie Yager-Wiggan, Will Yager, 
Brad Raby, Jess Raby, Archie Raby, Caleb Raby, and Hannah Raby; and great-grandmother of 
Levi Wallick, Felicity Wallick, Oliver Blythe, Kayleigh Blythe, Rylee Raby, Drew Raby, Kato 
Raby, Simon Raby, Emily Raby, Chasity Raby, and Kittrell Raby; and 
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Raby is further survived by her cousin, Marilyn Gilchrist; brother-in-law, 
Gordon (Carol) Raby; sister-in-law, Jessie June Nelson; nephew and nieces, Keith Raby, Kristi 
Everett, and Danita White; and several other nephews and nieces; and

 WHEREAS, Bonnie Raby leaves behind an indelible legacy of integrity and probity in 
public life, compassion and loyalty in private life, and diligence and dedication in all her chosen 
endeavors; and 
 WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to 
remember the bountiful life of this exceptional public servant and human being; now, therefore, 
 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH 
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF 
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we honor the memory of Bonnie June Raby, 
reflecting fondly upon her impeccable character and her stalwart commitment to living the 
examined life with courage and conviction. 
 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we express our sympathy and offer our condolences 
to the family of Mrs. Raby. 
 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared 
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to 
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear 
without House or Senate designation.
