12 | 12 | | A RESOLUTION to honor Franklin Tomorrow on the occasion of |

13 | 13 | | its twenty-fifth anniversary. |

15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, we take great pride in specially recognizing those community organizations |
---|
16 | 16 | | that work to improve the quality of life for their residents in the great State of Tennessee; and |
---|
17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, one such exemplary community organization is Franklin Tomorrow, which |
---|
18 | 18 | | has played an essential role in making Franklin a great place to live, work, and play for the past |
---|
19 | 19 | | twenty-five years; and |
---|
20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, the charter of Franklin Tomorrow was signed on March 20, 2000, by a small |
---|
21 | 21 | | group of leaders, which included Julian Bibb, Dick Gygi, Mike Alday, and Gayle Moyer Harris, |
---|
22 | 22 | | who recognized that something needed to be done to ensure that the future of the city would be |
---|
23 | 23 | | as rich as its past; and |
---|
24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Franklin Tomorrow presents information programs that allow the community |
---|
25 | 25 | | to be engaged and informed about the challenges that face Franklin as well as the positive |
---|
26 | 26 | | things happening in the community; these programs include FrankTalks, a monthly lecture |
---|
27 | 27 | | series, and Breakfast With The Mayors, a quarterly lecture series; and |
---|
28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Franklin Tomorrow has created many new initiatives and organizations to |
---|
29 | 29 | | enhance Franklin, including the custom Historic Franklin license plate, which has generated |
---|
30 | 30 | | revenue for the organization and created a sense of civic pride; and |
---|
31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, in 2025, Franklin Tomorrow continues its work to gather citizen input and |
---|
32 | 32 | | engagement by participating in the National Civic League's Healthy Democracy Project; and |
---|
33 | 33 | | WHEREAS, it is appropriate that we acknowledge such an outstanding community |
---|
34 | 34 | | endeavor on this special occasion; now, therefore, |

42 | 42 | | occasion of its twenty-fifth anniversary, applauding its many contributions to the Franklin |

44 | 44 | | endeavors. |

45 | 45 | | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared |
