| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, it is fitting that we should pay tribute to those public schools in Tennessee |

| 16 | 16 | | that, through the natural talents and unflagging commitment to academic excellence evidenced |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | by their administration, faculty, staff, students, and parents, have achieved significant |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | milestones; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Westmoreland High School is one such school that was recently honored |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | as a 2023-2024 Reward School by the Tennessee Department of Education, the top distinction |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | a school can earn in Tennessee; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Reward Schools are recognized as the top schools in this State based on |

| 23 | 23 | | academic achievements and by meeting annual measurable objectives across performance |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | indicators and student groups; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Principal Rick Duffer and the administration, faculty, and staff of |

| 26 | 26 | | Westmoreland High School have built an environment that ensures students have the very best |

| 27 | 27 | | atmosphere for learning; and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Westmoreland High School's selection as a Reward School is a tremendous |

| 29 | 29 | | source of pride for the administration, teachers, students, and parents of the community; and |

| 30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, the dedication to academic excellence demonstrated by all the fine |

| 31 | 31 | | individuals affiliated with Westmoreland High School is clearly deserving of the respect, |
