A RESOLUTION to commend Nicholas Reynolds, Governor of the
2025 Intern Mock Session.
WHEREAS, each legislative session, we are pleased to welcome a select group of
students who commit themselves, through their adroit service, to the betterment of the
legislative process as legislative interns; and
WHEREAS, annually, during each session of the General Assembly, the intern class
holds a mock legislative session and elects from among their membership a governor, a
lieutenant governor, a speaker of the house, a majority leader, and a minority leader; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas Reynolds, a student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, was
elected Governor of the 2025 Intern Mock Session for the first regular session of the 114
th
Tennessee General Assembly; and
WHEREAS, during this legislative session, Mr. Reynolds has served with distinction in
his role as a legislative intern for Lieutenant Governor Randy McNally and Senator Adam Lowe;
and
WHEREAS, Nicholas Reynolds's commitment to excellence is clearly deserving of the
respect, admiration, and commendation of this General Assembly; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we hereby hono r Nicholas Reynolds on his election
as Governor of the 2025 Intern Mock Session and extend to him our best wishes for every
future success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to

the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
without House or Senate designation.
