| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Women's Day on the Hill is a time to honor the achievements of those |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Tennessee women who have paved the way for every person to have the opportunity to pursue |

| 17 | 17 | | the American dream; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, the Volunteer State is proud to be the home of the awe-inspiring Beverly C. |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Robertson, who recently retired as the President and CEO of the Greater Memphis Chamber, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the first woman and the first African American to ever lead the organization in its 185 years of |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | existence; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Robertson currently serves as the COO of Trust Marketing, which she |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | helped found in 1991; throughout her stellar and celebrated career in corporate and nonprofit |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | leadership, she has served as Vice President of Internal Communications for Holiday Inns |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | worldwide and interim Executive Director of the National Civil Rights Museum, where she also |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | served as President for eighteen years; and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, named one of USA Today's "Women of the Century" in 2020, Ms. |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Robertson has further served her fellow citizens through consulting work with the Association of |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | African American Museums and the National Museum of African American History and Culture; |

|---|
| 31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, in saluting Ms. Robertson on this special occasion, let us remember that |

| 32 | 32 | | when women succeed, America succeeds, as does Tennessee; now, therefore, |
