1212 A RESOLUTION to honor Cathy Carrillo in celebration of
1313 Women's Day on the Hill.

1515 WHEREAS, Women's Day on the Hill is a time to honor the achievements of those
1616 Tennessee women who have paved the way for every person to have the opportunity to pursue
1717 the American dream; and
1818 WHEREAS, the Volunteer State is proud to be the home of the awe-inspiring Cathy
1919 Carrillo, a Nashville native who has a decade of experience in nonprofit and grassroots
2020 organizations and who now serves as the Metro Human Relations Commission's Director of
2121 Community Engagement; and
2222 WHEREAS, her work, both past and present, has been instrumental in preserving the
2323 dignity, diversity, and common welfare of Nashville's citizens; and
2424 WHEREAS, in saluting Ms. Carrillo on this special occasion, let us remember that when
2525 women succeed, America succeeds, as does Tennessee; now, therefore,
2626 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH
2727 GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we hereby honor and commend
2828 Cathy Carrillo on her many contributions to the State of Tennessee as we celebrate Women's
2929 Day on the Hill.
3030 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
3131 for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy.
