A RESOLUTION to honor and congratulate Chara Rand on her 
selection as the 2024–2025 Metro Nashville 
Public Schools Principal of the Year and Middle 
School Principal of the Year. 
 
 WHEREAS, it is fitting that we should pause to specially recognize those outstanding 
professionals who have devoted their careers to providing the highest-quality education for 
Tennessee's students; and 
 WHEREAS, Chara Rand is one such estimable administrator, who has distinguished 
herself as a professional of the greatest dedication, ability, and integrity; and 
 WHEREAS, Ms. Rand has been selected as the 2024–2025 Metro Nashville Public 
Schools Principal of the Year and Middle School Principal of the Year, most befitting honors that 
recognize the positive influence she has on so many young lives; and 
 WHEREAS, under Chara Rand's leadership as principal, Isaac Litton Middle School has 
continued to thrive, emphasizing academic excellence, student well-being, and a strong sense 
of community; and 
 WHEREAS, Ms. Rand is an extremely talented and compassionate administrator who 
works assiduously to motivate her students, teachers, and staff to reach their full potential as 
scholars, professionals, and citizens; and 
 WHEREAS, she serves as an inspiration to the faculty and staff of Isaac Litton Middle 
School, and her friendship and counsel are highly valued by those who are fortunate to know 
her; and 
 WHEREAS, Ms. Rand truly epitomizes the dedicated principal who is wholly committed 
to the highest ideals of public service and quality education for all, and she should be specially 
recognized; now, therefore,

 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH 
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we hereby honor and 
congratulate Chara Rand on being chosen as the Metro Nashville Public Schools Principal of 
the Year and Middle School Principal of the Year, commend her exceptional service to the 
children of Tennessee, salute her professional expertise and personal excellence, and wish her 
all the best in her future endeavors. 
 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared 
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy.
