A RESOLUTION to recognize and commend Joseph Sikora. 
 
 WHEREAS, it is our privilege to recognize those esteemed individuals who have 
devoted their careers to the entertainment industry, thus gaining acclaim and renown while 
making an indelible mark on our shared culture; and 
 WHEREAS, one such individual is Joseph Sikora, a ubiquitous entertainer whose 
performances can be found across television, feature films, and animation; and 
 WHEREAS, Mr. Sikora hails from Chicago, Illinois; after graduating from Notre Dame 
College Prep in 1994, he studied acting at The Theatre School at DePaul University, ultimately 
graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from Columbia College Chicago in 
1998; and 
 WHEREAS, Mr. Sikora is best known for his starring role as Tommy Egan in the Starz 
series Power and its subsequent spin-offs and sequels—Power Book II: Ghost and Power Book 
IV: Force, in which he is the protagonist; his first stab at acting was as a teenager, when he 
appeared in a McDonald's commercial with Michael Jordan; and 
 WHEREAS, Joseph Sikora made his television debut in an episode of The New Adam-
12; his first appearance in a feature film was as 17-Year-Old Johnny in 1993's Rudy; and 
 WHEREAS, his silver screen credits include My Best Friend's Wedding, Charlie Wilson's 
War, Shutter Island, and 2012's Jack Reacher starring Tom Cruise; and 
 WHEREAS, Mr. Sikora's talents have also been lent to various beloved and acclaimed 
television shows over the years, including Frasier, JAG, Monk, ER, Grey's Anatomy, Lost, Law 
& Order: Special Victims Unit, Boardwalk Empire, Chicago P.D., and Ozark; and

 WHEREAS, we were honored to have Mr. Sikora visit the State Capitol on March 19, 
2025, and we are happy to honor his impressive body of work and enduring career; now, 
therefore, 
 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH 
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we commend and honor 
Joseph Sikora for his contributions to film and television during his three-decade-career as an 
actor, extending our best wishes for his continued success. 
 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared 
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy.
