| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 469.102(b), Government Code, is amended | |
| 13 | 13 | to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (b) The person shall submit the plans and specifications not | |
| 15 | 15 | later than the 20th [fifth] day after the date the person issues the | |
| 16 | 16 | plans and specifications. If plans and specifications are issued | |
| 17 | 17 | on more than one date, the person shall submit the plans and | |
| 18 | 18 | specifications not later than the 20th [fifth] day after each date | |
| 19 | 19 | the plans and specifications are issued. In computing time under | |
| 20 | 20 | this subsection, a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday is not | |
| 21 | 21 | included. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 2. Section 469.102(b), Government Code, as amended | |
| 23 | 23 | by this Act, applies to plans and specifications issued on or after | |
| 24 | 24 | the effective date of this Act. Plans and specifications issued | |
| 25 | 25 | before the effective date of this Act are governed by the law in | |
| 26 | 26 | effect on the date the plans and specifications are issued, and the | |
| 27 | 27 | former law is continued in effect for that purpose. | |
| 28 | 28 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
