77 relating to certain information that a commercial mobile service
88 provider shall include in a billing statement.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Chapter 64, Utilities Code, is amended by adding
1111 Subchapter F to read as follows:
1212 SUBCHAPTER F. MOBILE SERVICE CUSTOMER BILLING
1313 Sec. 64.231. DEFINITION. In this subchapter, "commercial
1414 mobile service provider" has the meaning assigned by Section
1515 64.201.
1616 Sec. 64.232. CONTRACT EXPIRATION NOTICE. A bill from a
1717 commercial mobile service provider shall clearly identify the date
1818 the customer's contract with the service provider expires.
1919 SECTION 2. Section 64.232, Utilities Code, as added by this
2020 Act, applies only to a contract that is entered into or renewed on
2121 or after the effective date of this Act. A contract entered into or
2222 renewed before the effective date of this Act is governed by the law
2323 as it existed when the contract was entered into or renewed, and
2424 that law is continued in effect for that purpose.
2525 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
