9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Chapter 64, Utilities Code, is amended by adding | |
11 | 11 | Subchapter F to read as follows: | |
12 | 12 | SUBCHAPTER F. MOBILE SERVICE CUSTOMER BILLING | |
13 | 13 | Sec. 64.231. DEFINITION. In this subchapter, "commercial | |
14 | 14 | mobile service provider" has the meaning assigned by Section | |
15 | 15 | 64.201. | |
16 | 16 | Sec. 64.232. CONTRACT EXPIRATION NOTICE. A bill from a | |
17 | 17 | commercial mobile service provider shall clearly identify the date | |
18 | 18 | the customer's contract with the service provider expires. | |
19 | 19 | SECTION 2. Section 64.232, Utilities Code, as added by this | |
20 | 20 | Act, applies only to a contract that is entered into or renewed on | |
21 | 21 | or after the effective date of this Act. A contract entered into or | |
22 | 22 | renewed before the effective date of this Act is governed by the law | |
23 | 23 | as it existed when the contract was entered into or renewed, and | |
24 | 24 | that law is continued in effect for that purpose. | |
25 | 25 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
