10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 33, Government Code, is | |
12 | 12 | amended by adding Section 33.0225 to read as follows: | |
13 | 13 | Sec. 33.0225. USE OF STAFF AND EQUIPMENT. A judge may | |
14 | 14 | request and receive the assistance of the judge's staff and use the | |
15 | 15 | judge's and staff's office equipment to: | |
16 | 16 | (1) prepare for the commission a response to: | |
17 | 17 | (A) a complaint; or | |
18 | 18 | (B) a request for information related to an | |
19 | 19 | allegation or appearance of misconduct or disability; or | |
20 | 20 | (2) provide other information requested by the | |
21 | 21 | commission. | |
22 | 22 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
23 | 23 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
24 | 24 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
25 | 25 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
26 | 26 | Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
