The bill would amend the Local Government Code to prohibit any prohibition or regulation of the transport of fireworks in unopened and original packaging. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. If a government entity currently has an ordinance, order, or rule in place that prohibits or regulates the transport of fireworks as described in the bill, there would be some administrative costs involved in removing the ordinance, order, or rule.
