| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 2254, Government Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Section 2254.0025 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 2254.0025. EXCEPTION. This subchapter does not apply | |
| 13 | 13 | to a school district. | |
| 14 | 14 | SECTION 2. Section 44.031(f), Education Code, is repealed. | |
| 15 | 15 | SECTION 3. The changes in law made by this Act apply only to | |
| 16 | 16 | the selection of a provider of professional services or the award of | |
| 17 | 17 | a contract to provide professional services made on or after the | |
| 18 | 18 | effective date of this Act. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
