| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 2210.251, Insurance Code, is amended by | |
| 11 | 11 | adding Subsection (i) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (i) The department shall by rule develop a public notice | |
| 13 | 13 | form to be posted in all building supply stores in first tier | |
| 14 | 14 | coastal counties in order to educate consumers on specific building | |
| 15 | 15 | requirements and inspection standards for coverage through the | |
| 16 | 16 | association. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. As soon as practicable after the effective date | |
| 18 | 18 | of this Act the Texas Department of Insurance shall adopt rules to | |
| 19 | 19 | implement Section 2210.251(i), Insurance Code, as added by this | |
| 20 | 20 | Act. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
