11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 251, Transportation Code, | |
13 | 13 | is amended by adding Section 251.018 to read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | Sec. 251.018. REFUSAL OR FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH RULE OR | |
15 | 15 | ORDER; OFFENSE. (a) A person commits a misdemeanor offense if the | |
16 | 16 | person refuses or fails to comply with a rule issued or an order | |
17 | 17 | entered by a commissioners court under this subchapter. | |
18 | 18 | (b) An offense under this section is punishable by a fine | |
19 | 19 | not to exceed $200. | |
20 | 20 | (c) If conduct that constitutes an offense under this | |
21 | 21 | section also constitutes an offense under any other law, the actor | |
22 | 22 | may be prosecuted under this section or the other law. | |
23 | 23 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
