The bill would require the Public Utility Commission (PUC) to adopt rules requiring all retail electric providers (REPs) to submit to the commission information regarding the REP's price for month-to-month service, including introductory or promotional offers and whether the REP offers month-to-month service other than at the end of a fixed price contract. The bill would require the PUC to display this information on its power-to-choose website. The bill would not require the PUC to warrant that the information regarding REP's month-to-month prices and offers are a complete or accurate list of all offers in the marketplace. The PUC indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
