| 8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 152.0521(a), Human Resources Code, is | |
| 10 | 10 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | (a) The Comal County Juvenile Board is composed of: | |
| 12 | 12 | (1) the county judge; | |
| 13 | 13 | (2) the judge of each county court at law in the | |
| 14 | 14 | county; | |
| 15 | 15 | (3) the judge of the 207th District Court; | |
| 16 | 16 | (4) the judge of the 433rd District Court; | |
| 17 | 17 | (5) an additional judge of the district courts having | |
| 18 | 18 | jurisdiction in Comal County, to be appointed biennially by the | |
| 19 | 19 | local administrative district judge; and | |
| 20 | 20 | (6) [(5)] the criminal district attorney of Comal | |
| 21 | 21 | County. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 2. Section 152.0521(a-1), Human Resources Code, is | |
| 23 | 23 | repealed. | |
| 24 | 24 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 25 | 25 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 26 | 26 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 27 | 27 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 28 | 28 | Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
