| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 2001.404, Occupations Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 2001.404. PRINCIPAL LOCATION. A licensed authorized | |
| 13 | 13 | organization may conduct bingo only in: | |
| 14 | 14 | (1) the county where the organization has its primary | |
| 15 | 15 | business office or another county contiguous to that county; or | |
| 16 | 16 | (2) if the organization does not have a [has no] | |
| 17 | 17 | business office, in the county of the principal residence of its | |
| 18 | 18 | chief executive officer, or a contiguous county of this state. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
