A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the locations where a licensed authorized organization
may conduct bingo.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 2001.404, Occupations Code, is amended
to read as follows:
Sec. 2001.404. PRINCIPAL LOCATION. A licensed authorized
organization may conduct bingo only in:
(1) the county where the organization has its primary
business office or another county contiguous to that county; or
(2) if the organization does not have a [has no]
business office, in the county of the principal residence of its
chief executive officer, or a contiguous county of this state.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
