8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 13.015(a-1), Parks and Wildlife Code, is | |
10 | 10 | amended to read as follows: | |
11 | 11 | (a-1) The commission shall [may] waive the park entrance fee | |
12 | 12 | for a person who is at least 70 years of age. The commission may not | |
13 | 13 | waive the fee for use of a park facility, including a hook-up fee | |
14 | 14 | for electricity or water. | |
15 | 15 | SECTION 2. Subchapter A, Chapter 13, Parks and Wildlife | |
16 | 16 | Code, is amended by adding Section 13.0185 to read as follows: | |
17 | 17 | Sec. 13.0185. PARK FEE WAIVER FOR MEMBERS OF THE TEXAS STATE | |
18 | 18 | GUARD. The department shall waive the state park entrance fee and | |
19 | 19 | vehicle entrance fee for any person who is an active member of the | |
20 | 20 | Texas State Guard on presentation of the person's Texas State Guard | |
21 | 21 | identification card. | |
22 | 22 | SECTION 3. This Act take effect September 1, 2009. |
