| 7 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 8 | 8 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 201, Transportation Code, is amended by |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | adding Subchapter Y to read as follows: |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | SUBCHAPTER Y. DEPARTMENT BUILDING NAMES |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Sec. 201.2001. HONORABLE HILARY B. DORAN TRANSPORTATION |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | BUILDING. The building in which, on June 1, 2009, is located the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | office of the area engineer for Val Verde County is designated as |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | the Honorable Hilary B. Doran Transportation Building. |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | SECTION 2. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | is amended by adding Section 225.072 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Sec. 225.072. LOOP 79 IN VAL VERDE COUNTY. (a) In |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | recognition of the cooperation between the department and Val Verde |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | County, the designation of Loop 79 in Val Verde County shall be made |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | by the Commissioners Court of Val Verde County. |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | (b) The department shall design and construct markers to be |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | placed along Loop 79 in Val Verde County indicating the highway |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | number, the designation of the loop, and any other appropriate |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | information. |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | (c) The department shall erect a marker at each end of the |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | loop and at intermediate sites along the loop that the department |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | determines are appropriate. |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
