9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
---|
10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. (a) The legislature validates and confirms all |
---|
11 | 11 | | governmental acts and proceedings of the Harris County Improvement |
---|
12 | 12 | | District No. 10 and the Harris County Improvement District No. 10B |
---|
13 | 13 | | that were taken before the effective date of this Act in relation to |
---|
14 | 14 | | the creation of the Harris County Improvement District No. 10B from |
---|
15 | 15 | | land inside the Harris County Improvement District No. 10. The acts |
---|
16 | 16 | | and proceedings may not be held invalid because they were not in |
---|
17 | 17 | | accordance with Chapter 3860, Special District Local Laws Code, or |
---|
18 | 18 | | other law. |
---|
19 | 19 | | (b) This section does not apply to any matter that on the |
---|
20 | 20 | | effective date of this Act: |
---|
21 | 21 | | (1) is involved in litigation if the litigation |
---|
22 | 22 | | ultimately results in the matter being held invalid by a final court |
---|
23 | 23 | | judgment; or |
---|
24 | 24 | | (2) has been held invalid by a final court judgment. |
---|
25 | 25 | | SECTION 2. (a) The name of the Harris County Improvement |
---|
26 | 26 | | District No. 10B is changed to Five Corners Improvement District. |
---|
27 | 27 | | (b) A reference in law to the Harris County Improvement |
---|
28 | 28 | | District No. 10B means the Five Corners Improvement District. |
---|
29 | 29 | | SECTION 3. The boundaries of the Five Corners Improvement |

261 | 261 | | subdivisions to the creation of districts with conservation, |
---|
262 | 262 | | reclamation, and road powers and the inclusion of land in those |

265 | 265 | | this state and the rules and procedures of the legislature with |

268 | 268 | | SECTION 6. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
---|
269 | 269 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
---|
270 | 270 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
---|
271 | 271 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
---|
272 | 272 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
