A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the regulation of massage establishments.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 455, Occupations Code, is
amended by adding Section 455.2021 to read as follows:
Sec. 455.2021. MASSAGE ESTABLISHMENT HOURS OF OPERATION.
(a) A massage establishment may provide services only between the
hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.
(b) The entrance doors to a massage establishment must
remain unlocked during business hours.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
