44 HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
55 WHEREAS, A life filled with joyful times and meaningful
66 accomplishments drew to a close with the passing of G. G. May of
77 Blossom on March 17, 2009, at the age of 83; and
88 WHEREAS, The son of George and Emily May, "Jelly" May shared a
99 rewarding relationship with his wife, Sylvia, and the couple were
1010 blessed with two daughters, Sharon and Linda, and two sons, Larry
1111 and Roy; Mr. May later knew the joy of welcoming 8 grandchildren and
1212 18 great-grandchildren into his family; and
1313 WHEREAS, While his death has brought great sorrow to his
1414 loved ones, Jelly May will be forever remembered with great
1515 admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it
1616 RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas
1717 hereby pay tribute to the life of G. G. May and extend sincere
1818 condolences to the members of his family: to his wife, Sylvia May;
1919 to his children, Sharon Minton and her husband, Clay, Linda Farris
2020 and her husband, Jerry, Larry May and his wife, Meleta, and Roy May
2121 and his wife, Daretha; to his grandchildren, Cobi Bridges and her
2222 husband, Ronnie, Mika Reynolds and her husband, Mark, Gina Swaim
2323 and her husband, Chris, Dustin May and his wife, Wendy, Cory May and
2424 his wife, Autumn, Krystal Roach and her husband, Jeff, Brandon May
2525 and his wife, Kristen, and Ashley Langley and her husband, Cameron;
2626 to his sister, Pat Dennis, and her husband, Butch; to his 18
2727 great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and,
2828 be it further
2929 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3030 prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate and House of
3131 Representatives adjourn this day, they do so in memory of Jelly May.
