| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A life filled with joyful times and meaningful |

| 6 | 6 | | accomplishments drew to a close with the passing of G. G. May of |

| 7 | 7 | | Blossom on March 17, 2009, at the age of 83; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The son of George and Emily May, "Jelly" May shared a |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | rewarding relationship with his wife, Sylvia, and the couple were |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | blessed with two daughters, Sharon and Linda, and two sons, Larry |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and Roy; Mr. May later knew the joy of welcoming 8 grandchildren and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 18 great-grandchildren into his family; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, While his death has brought great sorrow to his |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | loved ones, Jelly May will be forever remembered with great |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it |

| 16 | 16 | | RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas |

| 17 | 17 | | hereby pay tribute to the life of G. G. May and extend sincere |

| 18 | 18 | | condolences to the members of his family: to his wife, Sylvia May; |
