5	5	WHEREAS, Friends and family are mourning the loss of Frank
6	6	Weaver of Paris, Texas, who passed away on April 29, 2009, at the
7	7	age of 100; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Frank Weaver was born on August 20, 1908, to Calvin
9	9	and Maud Meeks Weaver in Lamar County; he married the love of his
10	10	life, the former Evelyn Campbell, in 1934, and the couple raised two
11	11	daughters, Carolyn and Kay; through the years, they welcomed into
12	12	their family five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and
13	13	WHEREAS, Mr. Weaver owned and operated the Texas Furniture
14	14	Store for 43 years before retiring in 1987, and he served as a
15	15	director of the Retail Furniture Association; very active in his
16	16	community, he was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Elks Lodge, a
17	17	Gideon for 43 years, and a member of the Kiwanis for 50 years;
18	18	moreover, he was a longtime congregant of First Presbyterian
19	19	Church, where he served as an elder, trustee, and treasurer; in his
20	20	leisure time, he and Mrs. Weaver enjoyed traveling, and they had the
21	21	opportunity to visit many memorable sites around the world; and
22	22	WHEREAS, A devoted man of faith and family throughout his
23	23	long and rewarding life, Frank Weaver will be forever remembered
24	24	with great admiration and affection by all those who held him dear;
25	25	now, therefore, be it
26	26	RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas
27	27	hereby pay tribute to the life of Frank Weaver and extend sincere
28	28	sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Evelyn Weaver;
29	29	to his daughters, Carolyn Williams and her husband, George, and Kay
30	30	McClure and her husband, Allen; to his grandchildren, Cindy
31	31	Huddleston and her husband, Tommy, David McClure and his wife,
32	32	Tracey, Steven McClure and his wife, Jenny, and Jill McClure and her
33	33	fiance, Brian Genovese; to his great-grandchildren, Micah
34	34	Huddleston and his wife, Tina, and Jordan, Scott, Caden, and Will
35	35	McClure; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
36	36	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
37	37	prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
38	38	Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of
39	39	Frank Weaver.
