5	5	WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Clayton Bradley Rogers of
6	6	Canton on April 27, 2009, at the age of 26, has brought a tremendous
7	7	loss to his loved ones; and
8	8	WHEREAS, A native of Sulphur Springs, Clay Rogers was born to
9	9	Bradley and Rachelle Rogers on September 15, 1982; he was an
10	10	enthusiastic outdoorsman and spent much of his free time bass
11	11	fishing on lakes in Texas and Arizona; and
12	12	WHEREAS, Weekend trips to Lake Fork brought Mr. Rogers
13	13	immense pleasure, and he spent many happy hours there competing in
14	14	fishing tournaments with his father; in the winter, he relished
15	15	hunting at the deer lease, and he gladly shared his knowledge of
16	16	both sports with his younger brother; and
17	17	WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to his family and his beloved wife,
18	18	Allison, Mr. Rogers had a caring, generous, and optimistic nature,
19	19	and he demonstrated profound appreciation for the people he loved
20	20	and the simple things that gave him joy; and
21	21	WHEREAS, Although no words can diminish the pain caused by a
22	22	young life cut short, those who were fortunate enough to know Clay
23	23	Rogers will hold him forever in their hearts and cherish his
24	24	enduring gift of love and compassion; now, therefore, be it
25	25	RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas
26	26	hereby pay tribute to the memory of Clayton Bradley Rogers and
27	27	extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
28	28	Allison Rogers; to his parents, Bradley and Rachelle Rogers; to his
29	29	sister and brother, Kenzi and Kaden Rogers; to his grandmothers,
30	30	Sue Rogers and Ruth Morrison; and to his many other relatives and
31	31	friends; and, be it further
32	32	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
33	33	prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
34	34	Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of
35	35	Clayton Bradley Rogers.
