44 HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
55 WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Clayton Bradley Rogers of
66 Canton on April 27, 2009, at the age of 26, has brought a tremendous
77 loss to his loved ones; and
88 WHEREAS, A native of Sulphur Springs, Clay Rogers was born to
99 Bradley and Rachelle Rogers on September 15, 1982; he was an
1010 enthusiastic outdoorsman and spent much of his free time bass
1111 fishing on lakes in Texas and Arizona; and
1212 WHEREAS, Weekend trips to Lake Fork brought Mr. Rogers
1313 immense pleasure, and he spent many happy hours there competing in
1414 fishing tournaments with his father; in the winter, he relished
1515 hunting at the deer lease, and he gladly shared his knowledge of
1616 both sports with his younger brother; and
1717 WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to his family and his beloved wife,
1818 Allison, Mr. Rogers had a caring, generous, and optimistic nature,
1919 and he demonstrated profound appreciation for the people he loved
2020 and the simple things that gave him joy; and
2121 WHEREAS, Although no words can diminish the pain caused by a
2222 young life cut short, those who were fortunate enough to know Clay
2323 Rogers will hold him forever in their hearts and cherish his
2424 enduring gift of love and compassion; now, therefore, be it
2525 RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas
2626 hereby pay tribute to the memory of Clayton Bradley Rogers and
2727 extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
2828 Allison Rogers; to his parents, Bradley and Rachelle Rogers; to his
2929 sister and brother, Kenzi and Kaden Rogers; to his grandmothers,
3030 Sue Rogers and Ruth Morrison; and to his many other relatives and
3131 friends; and, be it further
3232 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3333 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
3434 Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of
3535 Clayton Bradley Rogers.
