| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, No words can diminish the pain of a young life cut |

| 6 | 6 | | short, and we join the loved ones of Dustin Dow Clements of North |

| 7 | 7 | | Hopkins in mourning his passing on April 26, 2009, at the age of 21; |

| 8 | 8 | | and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born in Sulphur Springs on April 8, 1988, Dustin |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Clements graduated from North Hopkins High School; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, An avid softball player, Mr. Clements played for the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Amateur Softball Association of America as well as for U-Trip; he |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | was a member of Martin Springs Baptist Church; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Although his life ended far too soon, the family and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | friends of this beloved young man may count themselves fortunate to |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | have known him, and they will forever hold him close in their |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | hereby pay tribute to the life of Dustin Dow Clements and extend |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his parents, Edgar |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Clements, Jr., and Debbie Clements; to his sister, Ashley Clements; |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | to his grandparents, Edith and Bill Jackson and Jerry Don Simpson; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | to his great-grandmother, Rosie Duckworth; to his nephew, Mason |

| 24 | 24 | | Clements; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
