| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Nominees for the prestigious Teacher of the Year |

| 10 | 10 | | children, leadership on campus, collaboration with coworkers, and |

|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, A third-grade teacher at Landolt Elementary School, |

| 13 | 13 | | Ms. Ballew inspires a love of learning in her students that places |

| 14 | 14 | | them on the path to a bright and rewarding future; and |

| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Children are the Lone Star State's most precious |

| 16 | 16 | | resource, and a quality education is vital in order for our young |

| 17 | 17 | | people to become successful adults; Ms. Ballew exemplifies the |

| 18 | 18 | | qualities that make a truly great teacher, and she indeed merits |

| 19 | 19 | | special recognition; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas |
