H.C.R. No. 234
HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Julie Ballew was nominated as the Clear Creek
Independent School District 2008-2009 Elementary Teacher of the
Year; and
WHEREAS, Nominees for the prestigious Teacher of the Year
awards are chosen on the basis of teaching style, ability to engage
children, leadership on campus, collaboration with coworkers, and
communication with parents; and
WHEREAS, A third-grade teacher at Landolt Elementary School,
Ms. Ballew inspires a love of learning in her students that places
them on the path to a bright and rewarding future; and
WHEREAS, Children are the Lone Star State's most precious
resource, and a quality education is vital in order for our young
people to become successful adults; Ms. Ballew exemplifies the
qualities that make a truly great teacher, and she indeed merits
special recognition; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas
hereby congratulate Julie Ballew on being nominated as the Clear
Creek Independent School District 2008-2009 Elementary Teacher of
the Year and extend to her best wishes for continued success; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Ballew as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives and Senate.
