| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Martha |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | Sue Brunson of Paris, Texas, who passed away on May 14, 2009, at the |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | age of 75; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, A native Texan, the former Martha McGinnis was born |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | on August 3, 1933, in Roxton, to John and Lottie Margraves McGinnis; |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | a graduate of her hometown's schools, she was a member of the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Baptist church and a lover of music; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Brunson held a long and rewarding career at |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Sears, where she made many friends in both her coworkers and her |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | customers; after retiring, she went on to work as a caregiver; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The devoted mother of two sons, Mrs. Brunson later |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | delighted in welcoming into her treasured family her |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | daughters-in-law, three grandsons, two step-grandsons, and five |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, A kind and caring woman, Martha Sue Brunson earned |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the affection of all who knew her with her optimism, her |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | ever-present smile, and her genuine interest in others; although |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | she will be deeply missed, her loved ones can take comfort in |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | knowing that she enjoyed a life that was rich in the intangibles |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | that matter most; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | hereby pay tribute to the memory of Martha Sue Brunson and extend |

| 27 | 27 | | sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her sons, |

| 28 | 28 | | Ronnie Brunson and his wife, Treva, and Rickey Brunson and his wife, |

| 29 | 29 | | Marty; to her grandsons and their spouses, Ryan and Darla Brunson, |
