| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Friends and family are mourning the loss of Albert |

| 6 | 6 | | A. Anderson of Roxton, who passed away on May 25, 2009, at the age of |

| 7 | 7 | | 89; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Albert Anderson was born on December 9, 1919, to |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Albert and Amelia Fletcher Anderson in Roxton; he answered his |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | nation's call to duty with service in the U.S. Army during World War |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | II and was stationed in London, Germany, France, and Corsica; a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | longtime rancher, he also worked at the Oliver Rubber Company until |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | his retirement in 1982; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Known affectionately as "Tootie," Mr. Anderson |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | married the former Dorothy Moore on Christmas Day, 1945; the couple |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | raised a son, Larry, and enjoyed nearly 37 years together, before |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Mrs. Anderson passed away; fortunate enough to find love a second |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | time, Mr. Anderson married Thelma Stewart in 1986 and shared with |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | her more than two decades; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan belonged to the Roxton Masonic |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Lodge No. 543 for 60 years and was a member of the Church of Christ; |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Tootie Anderson lived a long and productive life |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | filled with meaningful accomplishments, and his loved ones will |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | forever cherish their memories of the happy times they spent in his |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | company; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | hereby pay tribute to the life of Albert A. Anderson and extend |

| 29 | 29 | | sincere best wishes to the members of his family: to his wife, |

| 30 | 30 | | Thelma Anderson; to his son, Larry Anderson; to his stepsons, |

| 31 | 31 | | Jimmie Stewart and his wife, Mary, and Lanny Stewart and his wife, |

| 32 | 32 | | Kathy; to his former daughter-in-law, Linda Stewart; to his |
