 HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
 WHEREAS, Friends and family are mourning the loss of Albert
 A. Anderson of Roxton, who passed away on May 25, 2009, at the age of
 89; and
 WHEREAS, Albert Anderson was born on December 9, 1919, to
 Albert and Amelia Fletcher Anderson in Roxton; he answered his
 nation's call to duty with service in the U.S. Army during World War
 II and was stationed in London, Germany, France, and Corsica; a
 longtime rancher, he also worked at the Oliver Rubber Company until
 his retirement in 1982; and
 WHEREAS, Known affectionately as "Tootie," Mr. Anderson
 married the former Dorothy Moore on Christmas Day, 1945; the couple
 raised a son, Larry, and enjoyed nearly 37 years together, before
 Mrs. Anderson passed away; fortunate enough to find love a second
 time, Mr. Anderson married Thelma Stewart in 1986 and shared with
 her more than two decades; and
 WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan belonged to the Roxton Masonic
 Lodge No. 543 for 60 years and was a member of the Church of Christ;
 and
 WHEREAS, Tootie Anderson lived a long and productive life
 filled with meaningful accomplishments, and his loved ones will
 forever cherish their memories of the happy times they spent in his
 company; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas
 hereby pay tribute to the life of Albert A. Anderson and extend
 sincere best wishes to the members of his family: to his wife,
 Thelma Anderson; to his son, Larry Anderson; to his stepsons,
 Jimmie Stewart and his wife, Mary, and Lanny Stewart and his wife,
 Kathy; to his former daughter-in-law, Linda Stewart; to his
 grandchildren, Rita and Lynn Jones, Lisa and Kevin Broce, and
 Darren, Shannon, and Glenn Stewart; to his great-grandchildren,
 Joanna, Mariana, Evan, Macy, and Seth; and to his other relatives
 and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of
 Albert "Tootie" Anderson.
