4	4	HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
5	5	WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at
6	6	the loss of Garry Don Stuckey of Paris, Texas, who passed away on
7	7	January 25, 2009, at the age of 62; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Garry Stuckey was born in Roxton on February 17,
9	9	1946; he married Glenda England in 1965, and the couple enjoyed 43
10	10	fulfilling years together; they were blessed with two children,
11	11	Berlyn and Milinda, and their family later grew to include two
12	12	grandchildren, Megan and Hunter; and
13	13	WHEREAS, Mr. Stuckey worked as a supervisor for the Campbell
14	14	Soup Company for many years before his retirement; he remained an
15	15	avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman throughout his life, with
16	16	memberships in the National Wildlife Turkey Federation, Ducks
17	17	Unlimited, and Delta Waterfowl; and
18	18	WHEREAS, An involved member of the community, Mr. Stuckey was
19	19	active in the Paris Jaycees, the Boys and Girls Club, the Breakfast
20	20	Optimist Club, the Elks Lodge, Think Child Safety, Meals on Wheels,
21	21	and Christians in Action; this esteemed Paris citizen also coached
22	22	and umpired local baseball and was a congregant at Calvary United
23	23	Methodist Church; and
24	24	WHEREAS, Garry Stuckey led a caring and purposeful life, and
25	25	his family and friends will long remember the many wonderful times
26	26	spent in his company; now, therefore, be it
27	27	RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas
28	28	hereby pay tribute to the memory of Garry Don Stuckey and extend
29	29	sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Glenda
30	30	Stuckey; to his son, Berlyn Don Stuckey; to his daughter, Milinda
31	31	Love, and her fiance, Scratch Campbell; to his grandchildren, Megan
32	32	and Hunter Love; and to his other relatives and many friends; and,
33	33	be it further
34	34	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
35	35	prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
36	36	Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of
37	37	Garry Don Stuckey.
