H.C.R. No. 41 HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at the loss of Garry Don Stuckey of Paris, Texas, who passed away on January 25, 2009, at the age of 62; and WHEREAS, Garry Stuckey was born in Roxton on February 17, 1946; he married Glenda England in 1965, and the couple enjoyed 43 fulfilling years together; they were blessed with two children, Berlyn and Milinda, and their family later grew to include two grandchildren, Megan and Hunter; and WHEREAS, Mr. Stuckey worked as a supervisor for the Campbell Soup Company for many years before his retirement; he remained an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman throughout his life, with memberships in the National Wildlife Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, and Delta Waterfowl; and WHEREAS, An involved member of the community, Mr. Stuckey was active in the Paris Jaycees, the Boys and Girls Club, the Breakfast Optimist Club, the Elks Lodge, Think Child Safety, Meals on Wheels, and Christians in Action; this esteemed Paris citizen also coached and umpired local baseball and was a congregant at Calvary United Methodist Church; and WHEREAS, Garry Stuckey led a caring and purposeful life, and his family and friends will long remember the many wonderful times spent in his company; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas hereby pay tribute to the memory of Garry Don Stuckey and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Glenda Stuckey; to his son, Berlyn Don Stuckey; to his daughter, Milinda Love, and her fiance, Scratch Campbell; to his grandchildren, Megan and Hunter Love; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of Garry Don Stuckey.
