5	5	WHEREAS, The prosperity of communities in the Lone Star State
6	6	depends in large part on the success of locally owned and operated
7	7	businesses such as Kirby's Lone Star Smokehouse in Montgomery; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Founded in 2006 by Andy and Paulette Kirby, their
9	9	sons, Trey and Chad, and their daughters-in-law, Mallory and
10	10	Kristen, Kirby's Lone Star Smokehouse quickly became a local
11	11	favorite, with its traditional Texas barbecue menu and its
12	12	authentic ambience; and
13	13	WHEREAS, In January of 2009, Kirby's Smokehouse opened in a
14	14	new location on Highway 105, and the facility was built and equipped
15	15	by a local construction business, further contributing to the
16	16	area's economy; and
17	17	WHEREAS, The Kirbys have been residents of Montgomery for
18	18	more than 20 years, and their strong ties to the community have
19	19	helped to make the restaurant a popular destination for residents
20	20	and visitors alike; now, therefore, be it
21	21	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
22	22	Legislature hereby commend Kirby's Lone Star Smokehouse for its
23	23	contributions to the Montgomery community and extend to the Kirby
24	24	family sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
25	25	further
26	26	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
27	27	prepared for the restaurant as an expression of high regard by the
28	28	Texas House of Representatives.
