H.R. No. 1181
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Hochstedler of Temple celebrated
their 65th wedding anniversary on March 2, 2009, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hochstedler and the former Ina Lee Bleeker
exchanged the vows of matrimony on that special day in 1944, and
over the course of their marriage, they have found in one another a
loving life partner; Mr. Hochstedler is retired after serving in
the U.S. Army and in civil service; Mrs. Hochstedler is a homemaker;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hochstedler count among their blessings
a fine family that includes 4 children, Robert, Jim, Darlene, and
James, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a
great-great-grandchild, with whom they share the many special
occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, For 65 years, Mr. and Mrs. Hochstedler have brought
to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment to one
another; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Hochstedler on
the occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary and extend to them
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hochstedler as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
