H.R. No. 1268
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ryan Andrew Kemnitz graduated from the U.S. Air
Force Academy as a second lieutenant with a bachelor's degree in
mechanical engineering on May 28, 2008; and
WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Dirk and Sharon Kemnitz,
Ryan Kemnitz attended Strake Jesuit College Preparatory High School
in Houston, where he was a member of the varsity water polo team;
during his high school career, his athletic prowess was rewarded
with recognition as an all-district water polo player in 2003 and
his academic achievements earned him membership in the National
Honor Society; and
WHEREAS, He was appointed to the U.S. Air Force Academy in
2004, and he continued to play water polo for the academy's team
while studying for his undergraduate degree; and
WHEREAS, The accomplishments of Ryan Kemnitz distinguish
this outstanding young Texan as an individual of great promise, and
it is a pleasure to honor him as he prepares to embark on the next
exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Second Lieutenant Ryan Andrew
Kemnitz on his graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy and extend
to him sincere best wishes for a bright and rewarding future; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Second Lieutenant Kemnitz as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
