| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends cherish their memories of Dwain |

| 6 | 6 | | "Duby" English of Abilene, who died on December 27, 2007, at the age |

| 7 | 7 | | of 46; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Duby English was born in Merkel on May 26, 1960, and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | graduated from Merkel High School in 1978; he was an electric |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | lineman for Taylor Electric Cooperative for 29 years; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Actively engaged in the life of his community, he |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | was a Little League coach and a member of First Baptist Church of |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Merkel; he was also a member of the Texas Trophy Hunters |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Association, through which he won many awards, and he worked as a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | hunting guide for the Double Horseshoe Ranch; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Although Mr. English was taken much too soon, those |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | fortunate to know and love him will remember the joy he brought to |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | their lives, and he will always hold a treasured place in their |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 21 | 21 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Dwain "Duby" English |

| 22 | 22 | | and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his |

| 23 | 23 | | wife, Sally English; to his son, Cody English, and his wife, |

| 24 | 24 | | Kristie; to his daughter, Trina Riley, and her husband, Michael; to |

| 25 | 25 | | his mother, Bonnie Owens, and her husband, Floyd; to his |

| 26 | 26 | | grandmother, Hazel Pack; to his sister, Taresia Griffith, and her |

| 27 | 27 | | husband, Randy; to his grandchildren, Jessika Riley, Justin Riley, |
