 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the deep sorrow felt
 at the loss of Susan Irene Thompson of Jacksonville, who passed away
 on March 24, 2009, at the age of 53; and
 WHEREAS, Born in Strongville, Ohio, on July 20, 1955, the
 former Susan Goshorn was the daughter of James and Hilda Black
 Goshorn, and she enjoyed a rewarding marriage with her husband,
 Mark Thompson; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Thompson was the loving mother of three
 children, Erik, Alex, and Jill, and devoted much of her time to
 caring for her family; she was also an involved member of her
 community as a congregant of First United Methodist Church of
 Jacksonville; and
 WHEREAS, Although she is deeply missed, Susan Thompson lived
 a caring and purposeful life and leaves her loved ones with
 countless fond memories of happy times spent in her company; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Susan Irene Thompson
 and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
 husband, Mark Thompson; to her children, Erik Welch, Alex Thompson,
 and Jill Welch; to her mother, Hilda Goshorn; to her sister, Nancy
 Carrier; to her niece and nephew, Tony and Lisa Padua; to her
 mother-in-law, Mrs. George Thompson; to her sister-in-law, Sarah
 Vardeman and her husband, Pat, and their children, Candace and
 James; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Susan
 Thompson.
