H.R. No. 1335
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Johnny and Unita Courns of Greenville celebrated
their 50th wedding anniversary on March 13, 2009, and they may
indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have
shared; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Courns exchanged the vows of matrimony
in 1959, and over the course of their marriage they have found in
one another a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, This inspiring couple count among their blessings a
fine family that includes six children, five grandchildren, and a
great-grandchild, with whom they share the many special occasions
of life; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Johnny and Unita Courns have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Johnny and Unita Courns on their
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Courns as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
